MISSION RUDOLF - the puzzle trail for cultural detectives
Inspector Janz and his team are out of their depth. A man calling himself Rudolf claims to have hidden a mysterious instrument. This would emit a sound at the right time that would freeze everyone in the city unless it was deactivated in time. Rudolf has hidden parts of the password in various places around the city, which must be found. However, the puzzles at the locations can only be solved by moving. It's all very strange and almost impossible for the police to solve!
A trail through Zug's old town with tricky movement puzzles, an adventurous story and lots of dancing.
‘MISSION RUDOLF’ dramaturgically and playfully conveys the great arcs of Swiss dance history with local references to Zug. It shows artistic dance creation from 1917 to the present day and the cultural diversity of dance in Switzerland: from expressive dance (Monte Verità), performance art with reference to Tadashi Kawamata, classical ballet (Feuillet), modern and postmodern dance, jazz dance, contact improvisation, dance theatre, folk dance, tap dance, tango, afro dance, lindy hop to breaking, locking, popping, clowning, krump, waacking.
Using an app, the users get involved in the imaginary criminal case surrounding the ‘Mad Man’ Rudolf and are led to cultural locations in the city of Zug on the approx. 2 ½-hour puzzle trail. There they learn about artistic personalities from the world of dance and not only get to know the city in terms of its cultural heritage, but also save it from numbness. The puzzle locations can be walked in any order.
