Jukebox Dancer

Here is the ultimate performance machine! You throw a coin into the slot, select a song at the touch of a button and are served your piece of music including live choreography! The dancer Kilian Haselbeck celebrates his performances in a glass box as a mini stage: sometimes he is a disco queen, then a rock star, and if someone chooses a classical piece of music, then he is the ballerina. He slips effortlessly from one role into the next. "Jukebox Dancer" celebrates free role-playing and shows us how versatile and enjoyable 'being human' can be staged. And of course, the entertaining performance also shakes up our idea of typical identity categories. Who knows, maybe you too will discover that there is just as much rock star in you as ballerina.
